St. Vrain State Park, in Longmont, Colorado, about 40 minutes north of downtown Denver, stocks Black Bullhead, Sauger, Common Carp, Grass Carp (Sterile), White Sucker, and Gizzard Shad spread out between the ponds. Check the website to learn more about the fish in each pond.
Several wheelchair-accessible fishing areas and piers are located at each pond. Fishing could be problematic at several spots since getting your gear back (or a fish) without it getting caught on the rocks just beyond the railing.
A Colorado Fishing license is required for everyone 16 and older. The park does not sell fishing licenses.
