Buttermilk is one mountain with two personalities. Best known around the world for being home to the X Games Aspen, the mountain has become an icon for freestyle riders and skiers, who hit up the Buttermilk Park to see what they’re made of. But the mountain is also easy-going for beginners and families, boasting uncrowded beginner terrain and The Hideout, an innovative learning center for young skiers.

Located at the base of Buttermilk, the Buttermilk parking lot is usually less full on peak weekends and powder days and offers access to RFTA bus transportation to all four mountains.

Located at the base of Buttermilk, the Buttermilk parking lot is accessible and usually less full on peak weekends and powder days. In addition, Buttermilk Lot is the easiest way to get to Aspen Highlands on busy days.

During winter, 5-minute Ski School drop-off will be available throughout the season.
