Difficult Creek Trail is a 15.8 kilometer moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Aspen, Colorado that features a river and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking and camping and is best used from June until September. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
Drive 5 miles southeast of the Aspen Ranger District Office on Highway 82 and turn right
into Difficult Campground. Travel 1/2 mile and park in the picnic area on the right. The trailhead is in
the left corner of the lot.
