In addition to our mainstage performances at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House each season, we affirm our commitment to the future of the art form by exploring in-person and digital initiatives outside of the opera house; annually presenting new works; with our nationally recognized Artist in Residence Program that trains the next generation of opera performers; and by each year reaching more than 45,000 students and adults through our statewide education and community programs.

If parking across the street at the Colorado Convention Center Garage, patrons should take the Z elevators on the Champa Street side to “Street Level.” Then cross Champa at the signal and follow the 13th Street sidewalk to the Denver Performing Arts Complex. The path is accessible and well-lit. From there, take the DPAC Garage elevators to Level 3 to reach the Ellie Caulkins Opera House entrance.
Each seat in the Ellie Caulkins Opera House is outfitted with an individual Figaro System, which offers subtitles of the performance in English or Spanish. Instructions for operating the titling system are included in the program book you’ll receive at the performance. (A synopsis of the opera is also printed in the program book.)
If you experience difficulty with the system, please contact an usher for assistance. A limited number of hand-held Figaro System devices are available at Coat Check in the lobby, for patrons who may have trouble viewing the installed subtitling systems at their seats.
