The park was created in 1885 and has been a heavenly retreat for locals and tourists alike since then. The park has over 1,000 acres full of trails and scenic views for everyone to enjoy.
There are also two visitor centers in the park. The Starsmore Visitor and Nature Center is open from April to October. Days and hours of operation vary. Generally, Starsmore is open Tuesday-Saturday in the spring/fall and open 7 days a week beginning Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day Weekend.
Admission is always free to enter the park and the nature centers.
